Ever heard of the bus maker Neoplan? It’s a German bus company that’s been around since 1935. Owned by MAN since 2001, it has always made some pretty odd buses. Want proof?
How about the Jumbocruiser, a four-axle (at least), double-decker, sometimes mid-engined (earlier versions), articulated coach?
And a later version...
How about the Megaliner, a four-axle, non articulated , double front axle monster?
Even their more “normal” offerings look quite odd...
Here’s the Starliner, a three axle coach that’s a “Luxury Yacht for the Road”.
...and its rather inspirational promotional video from Neoplan...
The more plebeian Cityliner...
And the not-Jumbocruiser-size-but-still-pretty-damn-big Skyliner...
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
And, to finish it off, the old, weird Tropicliner (at least that’s what I think it is)...
Edit: It’s actually an ApronLiner for airports, etc.
Update: Looks like the Starliner range has been temporarily discontinued, enjoy a new Jetliner promo video instead... XD

I want to say the last one is used at Flughafen Frankfurt as a shuttle. If so they're spectacular!

There's actually a Neoplan bus at my parents' shop right now (in the back on the right). It's just a conventional coach bus though, no weirdness going on with it.

Yeah, the old ones were more normal, save the Jumbo and Mega...

Out of curiosity, where is your parents' shop?

Heh, I have this weird fantasy to take an old Jumbo and make it the world's best RV...

Martha's Vineyard. The Neoplan is a tour bus from a local operator.

Me too! Then again, I lived in a converted '66 Ford school bus for a couple years, so seeing something like this just makes me think "Wow, imagine having all that room! I could have multiple bedrooms and a rec room in my motorhome!"
